אומן בינלאומי לפיסול בעץ

החל לגלף בשנת 1985 בארה"ב, אוטודידקט.

מגלף בעיקר בעלי כנף תוך הקפדה על שמירת הדיוק למקור.
השתתף בתחרויות גילוף מקומיות, ארציות ואף באליפות העולם בגילוף בעלי כנף בארה"ב
וזכה בפרסים רבים.
התמנה לנשיא האיגוד המקומי של איגוד הגלפים של קליפורניה C.C.G
בשנת 2014 הוזמן על ידי הארגון העולמי IWCS
לייצג את ישראל בסין בתור אומן פיסול בעץ.
השתתף בתכנית הטלוויזיה "יצירה מקומית" בערוץ 2.
במהלך 2017 עד 2020 הוצגו יצירותיו בגלריה של קניון ממילא ירושלים.
הציג בגלריות רבות ואף מעביר שיעורים והרצאות בנושא הגילוף.
חבר בועד המנהל של עמותת אומני כרמיאל.

Rafi bensimone-the artist and his art

Started carving in 1985,was self taught.
Carving mainly waterfowl and birds.
His carvings are realistic in dimension and shape as can be.
Rafi took part in many carving competitions all around the usa,winning many ribbons and the best of show award.
Also won ribbons at the world competition.
Was an active member of the CA carvers guild and at the time became the president of the CCG san fernando chapter.
He has taught and given free seminars,while promoting wood carving in general and decoy and birds carvings in particular.
In2014 he was invited by the IWCS and participated at the 3 city tour in china as a wood carver representing israel.
His carvings have been exhibited in galleries in the usa and israel.
He is an active member of the painters and aculptors assoc.
He is also a board member of the karmiel art org in israel
